i am so stressed i feel so nauseous my head is racing a mile a minute. or a kilometer a minute i should say, i guess, eh.

ugh i totally forgot it was end of month and rent is due and i haven't given notice yet cuz i'm moving next month and that stresses me out and my printer wasn't hooked up because it used to be attached to matthew's computer but he's gone.

so now i have a month (prolly less) to pack my entire house and find a way to move stuff to my new place. i'm so stresssssssssed.

it probably doesn't help that i've only had 2 days off out of the last 19........ my fault for taking so much over time i guess.

i'm off the 31st/1st tho.... which is sort of depressing. i think i'd actually rather be working... it's a great excuse for not having to attend any parties or whatever. i'm so antisocial.

i never post here. i really onlyf acebook. but i feel like i need to vent and blahhhhhhhhhhhhh

So yesterday I graduated! I forgot to tell you guys.

So now I'm officially a NURSE!

I scored a job at the extended care home I did my preceptorship at. It's starts as soon as my licence comes in the mail.

Let's hope that's Monday or Tuesday and not like... September.

Live journal is a funny place. I used to spend a lot of time here, but now that facebook exists I spend more time there. I guess no one really blogs on facebook, but with the constant status updates and such I feel I have a good idea what is going on in everyone's life.

I still read all your entries... Sometimes they're like four million paragraphs long and talk about 30 people I don't know, so I do sorta skip/skim over those... But I always read the first and last paragraph!

I'm not even sure who is on my friend's list. Are we even friends? It's sort of weird. Oh well, here you are reading this regardless. :)

So tomorrow is Canada Day, which means I have a long weekend! w00t. Only 8 more weeks and I'm a nurse. A real live fucking nurse. OMG. Totally not ready. I have 3 weeks left in Duncan, were I'm doing my acute care practicum. Then I have 5 weeks at a long term care facility here in Nanaimo where I already work. I'll be working one on one with a real LPN for that time, and by the end I will have taken over her role. It's just one step closer to taking over the world!!!

In other news... we're moving! We've lived in this suite in Nanaimo for 1.5 years or more. Our landlords are putting the house up for sale, so we thought it would be a nice change for us to move as well. The first place we looked at we wound up being offered, and then taking. It's in Ladysmith, which is a small/tiny town about 25 km (16 miles) south of here. Ladysmith is about 19km (12 miles) north of the Duncan hospital. So i'm half way between two major hospitals and long term care facilities which should be handy for work! Hope I don't mind the commute. Right now, it's less than a mile to work, so this will be a big change. However, I am currently commuting the 35 miles to Duncan, and it's not that bad. Gives me some time to relax and unwind after school.

Miles must be way longer than km, eh? Miles me nothing to me.

So our new place is on a quiet cul-de-sac, and is a two bedroom basement suite. It has a bathroom and a kitchen, as most homes do. Pretty much everything about this place is better than our current except for maybe... the limited counter space in the kitchen, and perhaps the distance to and from work.

So if you ever want to come visit, I will finally have a second bedroom with perhaps even a futon in it!!! We've never had an over night guest before. No, that's a lie. Once, Matt's brother slept on the couch, but he was SO obnoxious and loud.

I have to write a $400 national test in mid september, then my graduation ceremony is the week after.

I know a lot of of you have moved, and even one of you recently (if not today, Steven), so any good packing/moving tips? Actually, we've got it scheduled so that we're here until the end of July, but we get the new suite on July 15th. The two week overlap should give us lots of time to clean and move :)

ugh i have so much work to do and i can't fucking get into it. i have no motivation. i don't care.

i can't get into this semester, i don't feel like studying or preparing or reveiwing. I don't feel like anything.

maybe it's the fact that I feel i'm behind already that makes me more stresed and doesn't allow me to get ahead.

i did some homework this morning, but i can't focus and i'm not into it. some days i fucking hate school.

7 more weeks of classes to go. If there's a store in your town that sells motivation, let me know.

It's very nice to get a phone call from an old friend you've sort of lost touch with...

Her voicemail put a smile on face. It's been a year or two... Maybe less, maybe more... She moved out of town and we sort of lost contact.

I've known her since she was 6, and had thought about her a couple times recently. I ran into her brother not too long ago, and read her grandmother's obituary a few months back.

Unfortunately she had company over when I returned her call, but I look forward to hearing from her soon!

I had a dream last night.

In this dream, I was talking to Matthew, and I told him I had just woken up from a dream. In it, Bob Barker had died. Matthew said he wondered if I had heard it on the radio or something while falling asleep, so we checked online, and sure enough he was dead.

So when I woke up this morning, I told Matthew about this dream. So we looked it up online... The wiki says Bob Barker died today, the 27th. However, I can't find the info anywhere else.

So if he did die, that's really creepy. And if he didn't, the fact that wiki says he did, is REALLY creepy.

Can't wait to find out!

My goal for the year is to put 1/3 of every paycheque directly into savings. I think this should be feasable.

I attempted to put a set amount into savings for a while last year, which I think was $250. But sometimes a pay cheque was only $300, and sometimes it was $1000, so I think I percentage system will work better.

My next goal is a new car. There's a few things I don't like about my current one, and it is a '97 as well.

I will graduate in August/September, and I think I will treat myself to a new car then. I will likely be working full time right away, and will definately be able to afford it.

Mind you, I think I *could* afford it right now... But there's no real guarantee of many hours I work a week because I'm so busy with school. And I think I prefer to keep my big chunk of down payment money in the bank so that if anything happens I have money to fall back on.

And waiting 8 months or so gives me time to really decide that I do indeed wish to purchase a new car. I'll also need to spend a little time researching on what I want, but my brother is a car sales man, so I'll probably just go to him. Well, he's higher up than just a "salesman", can't remember what his role is. Head of financing or something? Who knows.

My current car has been good to me, I bought it back in Aug '03 when my parents bought a new house, hella far from the college. I told them I best be getting a car or I wouldn't be living with them no more. And I got one that week. :)

It had only 117,000km on it when I bought it, but now it's getting a bit older and has about 165,000. I certainly drive much less than the average 20-25k a year. No major problems over the years, but a part here and there and such.

I don't imagine it's worth much now, so I'd probably just keep it for Matt to drive (if he ever gets around to geting a licence) rather than try and sell it.

I can't believe I will be a nurse in September. It's so soon and I feel so unprepared. I suppose we're in it for the long haul now, because there isn't one break from now until the end... No reading break, spring break, summer break, nothing.

Apparently the US will pay big bucks for Canadian (and other i'm sure) nurses to move down and work. I don't think I could live in the US. It scares me. Mind you, I've only been to Washington, California, Idaho, Hawaii, and North Carolina, but to live there, I would just walk around feeling unsafe and terrified.

And apparently remote places in Canada way up north will pay big bucks too. But I can't see myself doing that... Moving to nunavut or something... too cold, too far... at least still in canada though. Many classmates have aspirations to do this though, just for a few yeras to make some big money and pay off their student loans.

Perhaps if I had a loan, I'd feel differently.

Nothing better than not being in debt. But I suppose if I buy a car, that will all change.

I should go do homework, I'm really just trying to avoid it with all this typing, aren't I? I think so!
